Charles Robert Darwin

Charles Robert Darwin (February 12, 1809 - April 19, 1882) was a naturalistic Englishman that postulated that all the species of alive beings have evolved with the time from a common forefather by means of a process named natural selection. The evolution was accepted as a fact for the scientific community and on good part of the public in Darwin's life, whereas his theory of the evolution by means of natural selection was not considered to be the primary explanation of the evolutionary process until the year 1930,  and nowadays it constitutes the base of the evolutionary modern synthesis.
